The AI platform Infobaleen aims to become a leader in the Nordics and Europe. This funding round, Spintop Ventures and existing investor Fort Knox are investing, together with new management Linda Hellström and Anna Sundin, martech veterans from CRM firm Kaplan, among others.
The platform helps customers both follow up and act on the right KPIs in real-time. The result is increased revenue in the order of 3-6% and reduced advertising costs by up to 30%, but the most important thing is that you can work using real-time customer data to drive or redirect customer offerings as a retailer.
– We believe Infobaleen will succeed because they’re taking a comprehensive approach to the problem with data in an innovative way and therefore plays a key role in the customers’ business, says Finn Persson, founder and partner at Spintop Ventures.
Infobaleen’s platform uses large amounts of customer data in a unique way, that is visualized in predictive dashboards. The retailers can then act through personal recommendations to customers in all channels. To achieve the same results earlier, a number of different solutions in data storage and analysis, as well as a larger data science team was necessary.
– We invest in rapid expansion through partnerships with leading consulting agencies and technology platforms in data and martech, for example Avensia and Voyado, as well as through customers who have the ambition to work based on custome data, for example Nordic Nest, Byggmax and Rusta, says Anna Sundin.
– Infobaleen’s platform makes large amounts of customer data easily accessible and helps companies manage their business on the right KPIs. Anna and I have worked with this as consultants for many years for a number of large companies. We know how difficult and expensive it is to achieve a data-driven way of working and a personalized customer journey in all channels. Infobaleen solves that problem in a completely unique way and we were very impressed when we saw what the tool can handle, says Linda Hellström.
Infobaleen was founded in 2015 by, among others, Jakob Sjölander, Christian Persson and Martin Rosvall, professor of computational physics at Umeå University, and today has 40+ customers. This is the company’s seed round, with total investments of SEK 17.9 million.
The company has a close collaboration with Umeå University, where a research team continuously ensures that the platform benefits from the latest in machine learning.
